James C. Gaziano

Weymouth, James C. Gaziano, age 91, of North Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Saturday, December 30, 2017, at home, in the comfort of his loving family.

James was born to the late Carmela and Charles Gaziano in Quincy, where he was raised and educated. He had lived in North Weymouth for over twenty-five years, previously in Quincy for many years.

Jimmy was proud to have served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.

He worked for General Dynamics at the former Fore River Shipyard in Quincy for many years. He had also worked as a security guard for the State Street Corporation in Quincy.

Jimmy loved to watch football, was an avid Yankees fan, and liked to play the number. He enjoyed spending time in his backyard and watching his great-grandchildren play. He was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed supporting the activities and accomplishments of his granddaughters and great-grandchildren.

Beloved husband of the late Betty L. (Bjork) Gaziano.

Devoted father of Charles J. Gaziano of North Weymouth.

Loving grandfather of Deanna M. Cronin and her husband Michael, Krista L. Moreis and her husband Anthony, all of Hanover.

Cherished great grandfather of Jacob Cronin, Victoria and Violet Moreis.

One of six siblings, Jimmy was the brother of Bertha Massey of Weymouth, Tony Gaziano of Stoneham, and was predeceased by Cora Arciprete, Samuel Gaziano, and Carl Gaziano.

Jimmy is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family, funeral services were private. Interment with military honors took place in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
