Elizabeth A. (Foley) Tucker
Quincy, Elizabeth A. (Foley) Tucker, age 83, of Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton, surrounded by her loving family.
Elizabeth was born in Boston to the late Michael and Jane (Fahey) Foley. She was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. She had lived in Quincy for most of her life.
She was a devoted homemaker but had also worked as a sales associate at the former Jordan Marsh Company in Braintree for several years. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She proudly supported all their activities and accomplishments.
Elizabeth was also an avid and loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Beloved wife of the late Vincent J. Tucker.
Devoted mother of Theresa A. Walsh and her late husband Richard of Pembroke, Mary P. Tucker of Allston, Joseph P. Tucker of Easton, Barbara C. Tucker of New York, the late John M. Tucker and his wife Judy of Newport, RI, and the late James E. Tucker.
Loving grandmother of Daniel Walsh and his wife Katherine, Alyssa Walsh, Christine Walsh, Katherine Walsh, James Rein, Mark Tucker, Eimily Parker and her husband David.
Cherished great grandmother of Adam Rein and Madeline Walsh.
One of eight siblings, she was the dear sister of Patrick Foley and his wife Rosemary of Dorchester, Margaret Foley of Milton, Mary Lenney and her late husband Clarence of Foxboro, Helen Clark and her husband Michael of Fla., and was predeceased by William Foley, James Foley and his wife Lorraine of Abington, and Katherine Zielinski.
Elizabeth is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Tuesday, October 24th at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting at the funeral home prior to the Funeral Mass from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
