Mary C. (Lentini) DiCristofaro

Bourne, Mary C. (Lentini) DiCristofaro, age 94, of Bourne, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, October 29, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born in Boston to the late Gaspere “Frank” and Marie (D’Amicis) Lentini. She was raised and educated in South Boston and was a graduate of South Boston High School. She had lived in Bourne for the past thirty-one years, previously in Quincy Point.

Mary was primarily a homemaker but her passion was dancing and singing, especially around the house. She also enjoyed traveling.

She was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed supporting the activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Peter DiCristofaro.

Devoted mother of Marie C. Meier and her husband William of Bourne.

Loving grandmother of Peter J. Meier of Bourne, Marie C. Aviza and her husband Gregory of Marlboro.

Cherished great grandmother of Alyssa, David, and Samantha.

One of nine siblings, Mary was the dear sister of Frances Noto of South Boston and was predeceased by Joseph Lentini, Louis Lentini, Dominic Lentini, Anne Thompson, Josephine Copello, Angelina Lentini, and child Frances.

Sister-in-law of Joann DiCristofaro of Quincy and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Joseph’s Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy on Friday, November 3rd at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment to follow at Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

At the request of the family, visiting hours have been omitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the VNA of Cape Cod, 255 Independence Drive, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Mary’s family would like to acknowledge the VNA of Cape Cod staff, especially Lauren Campeau, R.N., for the outstanding care and compassion provided to Mary, as well as Mary Donovan, R.N. In addition, Mary Preston, R.N., with hospice, was very helpful and comforting to the family at the hour of Mary’s passing.

Sorry I didnt get to say goodbye. She was a great women and fun. I will always remember her stopping by the house and sitting under the grape vine looking at her roses. Ohhhh she loved roses. And loved going to trial in Fed building some of the things she told. Well Im going to miss her as I have had for a while. Keep the family together Marie you are now officially in charge.
