Leo I. Gauthier

Quincy, Leo I. Gauthier, age 82, a lifelong Quincy resident, died unexpectedly, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Quincy Medical Center.

Leo was born in Quincy to the late Leo L. and Anna M. (McIvor) Gauthier and was a graduate of Quincy High School.

He was employed as a taxi driver for over twenty years with the Yellow Cab Company of Quincy and had previously worked at the former Fore River Shipyard in Quincy.

Leo was a longtime member of the Braintree Moose Lodge 413.

Dear brother of Patricia Smith of Florida, Wayne Gauthier of Quincy, Dolores “Dolly” Princiotto of Quincy, Glenn Gauthier of Braintree and pre-deceased by Marjorie Hunnicutt and Donald Gauthier.  Leo is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Thursday, January 11th at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial visitation at the funeral home prior to the service from 12 – 1 p.m. At the request of the family private interment services will be held at a later date.
