Mary A. (Colarusso) Dell Orfano

Quincy, Mary A. (Colarusso) Dell’Orfano, age 98, a lifelong Quincy resident, died peacefully, Monday, June 26, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born in Quincy to the late Aleseio and Carmina (Rossetti) Colarusso. She was raised in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1936.

She was employed as an upholstery stitcher, working fifteen years at the former Hancock Upholstery Company of Quincy and later fifteen years with the Twin City Upholstery Company in Braintree. She retired in 1987.

Mary was a devote Catholic and lifelong member of Saint John the Baptist Church in Quincy and was a member of the former Ladies Sodality.

Beloved wife of the late Albert A. Dell’Orfano.

Devoted mother of Albert A. Dell’Orfano, Jr. and his companion Amy C. DeVico of Quincy and the late Ann Marie Dell’Orfano.

Loving grandmother of Michael Anderson, Alex Anderson, Mary Elizabeth Anderson and Cassandra Anderson all of Weymouth.

One of seven siblings, Mary was pre-deceased by James Colarusso, Lucy Mottola, Rose, Leonard, Dominic and Pasquale “Patsy” Colarusso. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Friday, June 30thst at 11 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation prior to the Mass Friday morning 10 -11 a.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
