Lena T. (Berini) Miller

Quincy, Lena T. (Berini) Miller, age 90, a lifelong Quincy resident, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Lena was born in Quincy to the late Emilio and Theresa (Assandrini) Berini. She was raised and educated in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School.

She had been employed as the activities director at the former Oceanside Nursing Home in Quincy for many years.

Lena enjoyed cooking and travelling with her late husband, Bob, but most of all, she was dedicated to her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandson, supporting all of their activities and accomplishments.

Beloved wife for fifty-seven years of the late Robert E. Miller, Quincy Police Dept., Retired.

Devoted mother of Barbara A. Miller of Stoughton, Robert E. Miller, Jr. and his wife  Janine of Pembroke, Michael J. Miller, Captain, Quincy Police Dept. of Quincy.

Loving grandmother of Michael, Savanna, Ginger, Robert, and Arian, and great grandmother of Bradley.

Mother-in-law of Kathryn Fix of New York and Rene Rose Miller of Plymouth.

The last of three siblings, Lena was pre-deceased by Walter and Tio Berini. Sister-in-law of Lucy Berini of Quincy and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent Street, West Quincy on Saturday, October 7th at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy.

At the request of the family, visiting hours have been omitted.
