Mary D. (Beaumier) Spillane
Quincy, Mary D. (Beaumier) Spillane, age 88, a lifelong Quincy resident, died peacefully, Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the South Shore Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in Lowell to the late Emil and Mabel (Brier) Beaumier. She was raised in Quincy and attended Quincy High School.
She had been employed at Roxie’s of Quincy for thirty-eight years where she was a well-known and popular personality in the deli department.
As a young woman, Mary worked as a former ballroom dance instructor and also served as a matron for the Sir Thomas More Drum and Bugle Corps of Braintree. She enjoyed puzzles and crosswords.
Mary was dedicated to her family and especially to her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Devoted mother of Joseph R. Spillane of Quincy, Kathleen D. Paradis and her husband Normand of New Hampshire, Maureen F. Campbell and her husband John of Middleboro, Donna M. Coakley and her husband Michael of Braintree, Robert K. Spillane of Quincy, Debra J. Schwedler and her husband Richard of Florida.
Mary was the loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
One of four siblings, she was sister of Gloria Griffin of Marshfield and pre-deceased by Lorraine Weaver and Roland Beaumire. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Prayer Service will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Thursday, October 26th at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m.
At the request of the family, interment private.
