Robin P. (Elliott) Pompeo

Quincy, Robin P. (Elliott) Pompeo, age 82, of Quincy, died peacefully, Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. 

Her death came seven days after the sudden passing of her beloved husband for sixty-two years, Richard D. Pompeo.

Robin was born in Rockland to the late Clifford D. and Zulima (Davis) Elliott. She was raised and educated in Rockland and graduated from Rockland High School. She had lived at Independence Manor for three years, previously in Quincy for most of her life.
 
She was a devoted homemaker as well as the bookkeeper and assistant for the family’s construction business and Pompeo Auctions, where she worked alongside her husband for nearly fifty years.  
 
Robin practiced various types of needlework, painting and drawing, as well as aerobics for enjoyment.
 
A devout Catholic, she had taught CCD and made rosary beads for Saint Ann’s Church while part of the Saint Ann’s Rosary Club, as well as for friends and family.  
 
Devoted mother of Nancy L. Reed and her husband Larry of Tewksbury, Richard D. Pompeo, Jr. of Winchester.
 
Loving grandmother of Larry P. Reed, Jr., Michael J. Reed, Elisa Pompeo, and Richard D. Pompeo III.
 
One of seven siblings, Robin was the sister of Meredith Hickey of Hanover and was predeceased by Shirley Angeli, Ruth Carl, Rita Betts, Clifford Elliott, and Peter Elliott.
 
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friends, and her late loyal dog, Benny.
 
Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Wednesday, December 20th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass for Robin and her husband will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours for Robin and her husband at the funeral home on Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Entombment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of the extraordinary care received in the Critical Care Unit at South Shore Hospital and can be mailed to South Shore Health System Foundation, 55 Fogg Road, South Weymouth, MA  02190 or at giving.southshorehealth.org/donate.
