Albert M. Gabriele, age 95

Albert M. Gabriele, age 95, a longtime Braintree resident, died, Friday, June 19, 2020, at home.

Born in Needham, to the late Michael and Leonarda (Deddo) Gabriele, he was raised there and was a graduate of Needham High School.

He had lived in Braintree for over sixty-five years.

Al was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Al was employed as a quality control manager for Ark-Les Switch Corporation in Watertown and Stoughton for twenty-seven years. He also worked designing corrugated containers for many years.

In his earlier years, Al enjoyed traveling to St. Thomas with his late wife, Alice, and their close friends. He loved to golf and enjoyed playing at Stone-E-Lea Golf Course in Attleboro. Al also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Resort Casino to play Blackjack. He was an avid gardener.

Al was smart and knowledgeable and will be remembered for his humility and loyalty.

Beloved husband of the late Alice G. (Whittemore) Gabriele.

Devoted father of Robert M. Gabriele of Quincy, Richard P. Gabriele and his wife Shari of Needham, and Paul F. Gabriele and his wife Debbie of Raynham.

Loving grandfather of Lisa Soares and her husband Derek, Joseph Gabriele, Patrick Gabriele, Michele Brady and her husband Kyle, Kimberly Gabriele, and the late Michael P. Gabriele.

Cherished great-grandfather of Julian and Leo Brady.

Al was the last of eight siblings and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family, funeral services were private. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing, and interment, with military honors, took place at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
