Anastasios T. “Ernie” Dakoulas, age 64

Anastasios T. “Ernie” Dakoulas, age 64, a longtime resident of Quincy, died peacefully, Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, in the loving presence of his wife, Tina.

Ernie was born in Agrinio, Greece. He immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of nine, settling in Brockton. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1977, and attended Framingham State College. He lived in the Squantum section of Quincy for the past thirty-seven years.

Ernie was employed as the corporate pre-owned director for the Herb Chambers Companies for twenty-five years.

Beloved husband for thirty-eight years of Christine “Tina” Fahey Dakoulas.

Devoted father of John “T.J.” Dakoulas.

Dear brother-in-law of Marilyn Moran and her husband Richard of Duxbury.

Son of Theodore and Helen (Seravetas) Ntakoulas of Brockton.

Brother of Maria Fournier and her husband Tom of Burlington, and Georgia Marmanidis of Billerica.

Ernie will be especially missed by his aunt, Tasia Lainas and her family of Brockton, and his cousins, Speros and Effie Anagnostos of New Jersey.

Funeral Services will be conducted in Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common Street, Braintree, on Tuesday, October 1, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment to follow at Center Cemetery, Pembroke. At the request of the family, visiting hours have been omitted.

  • I was lucky enough to meet Ernie when I was about 16 while I was working at Cars Transport you would always hear Ernie and Ed Holmes laughing and it was so infectious it didn’t matter what job you were doing it would make you smile. Ernies heart was bigger than him and he was very caring and a great friend to have I will miss him deeply. And I regret not taking the time to go visit him.
