Anna Maria (Milone) Santarpia, age 84

Braintree, Anna Maria (Milone) Santarpia, age 84, of Braintree, died peacefully, Friday, November 23, 2018 at Royal Braintree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in the comfort of her loving family.

Anna Maria was born in Italy to the late Giovanni “Papa” and Maria Josephine “Ma” (Avitable) Milone. She was raised and educated there and lived most of her life in Torino, Italy. She had lived in Braintree for the past twenty years.

Anna Maria was employed as a seamstress in the garment industry, both in Italy and locally in Braintree.

She enjoyed sports, especially baseball and soccer, and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Anna Maria was a devoted homemaker and loved to cook. She was dedicated to her family, especially her sons and granddaughters.

Beloved wife of the late Carmine Santarpia.

Devoted mother of Giovanni “John” Milone and his wife Susan of Quincy, Pino C. Santarpia of Boston.

Loving grandmother of Lauren E. Milone of Weymouth, Emily M. Martin and her husband Matthew of Quincy.

One of seven siblings, she was the dear sister of Rosa Recupero of Bridgewater, Teresa Rossetti of Stoneham, Ainello “Neil” Milone, Antonio “Tony” Milone, both of Weymouth, and was predeceased by Angelo A. Milone and Luigi “Louie” Milone.

Anna Maria is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Wednesday, November 28th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home Tuesday 4 – 8 p.m. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy.
