Beverly J. Stead, age 83

Beverly J. (Cappola) Stead, age 83, of Quincy, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully, Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Boston Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Beverly was born in Brockton, to the late Emerico and Angela Cappola. Raised and educated in Brockton and Quincy, she was a graduate of Quincy High School. Beverly also attended hairdressing school.

She lived in Quincy for over forty years, previously in Brockton.

Beverly had worked as a clerk for the Registry of Motor Vehicles for several years and had been retired for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with her cat, Ollie.

Beloved wife for forty-seven years of Lawrence W. “Larry” Stead, Cambridge Police Department, Retired.

Devoted mother of Loren Stead. Loving aunt of Jamie Cappola.

Dear sister of Michael Cappola and predeceased by Ronald Cappola, Rosemary Cappola, and Steven Cappola.

Beverly is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a great niece.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Joseph Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy, on Friday, November 15, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation at the church prior to the Mass from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy.
