John E. Francil, Sr., age 71

Quincy, John E. Francil, Sr., age 71, of Quincy, passed away, peacefully, Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the Seasons Hospice Inpatient Center in Milton, in the comfort of his loving family.

John was born in Limon, Colorado. He was raised there and moved to Boston, Massachusetts at the age of nine.

He had lived in Quincy for the past twelve years, previously in Rockland for ten years, and earlier in South Boston for ten years.

John was employed as a supervisor for the former Cole Hersee Company in South Boston for twenty years.

Most of all, John was dedicated to his family. He loved his grandchildren, who brought him much joy, and enjoyed supporting all of their many activities and accomplishments.

Beloved husband for forty-four years of Pamela M. (Mount) Francil.

Devoted father of Pamela Francil Cannalonga and her husband Jae of Worcester, John E. Francil, Jr. and his wife Michelle Oleson of Quincy, and Daniel S. Francil, Sr. and his wife Beverly Oleson of Palmer.

Loving grandfather of Hayli Melanson Francil of Worcester, Matthew Francil, Cody Francil, Mason Francil, all of Quincy, and Daniel S. Francil, Jr. of Palmer.

Dear brother of James Francil and his wife Mary of Weymouth and predeceased by four siblings.

John is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy on Saturday, March 2nd at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

At the request of the family, visiting hours were omitted and interment will be private.
