Julie A. (Cordone) Podell, age 55, of Abington, formerly of Weymouth, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at South Shore Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Julie was born in Weymouth, to the late Anthony F. and Grace F. (Princiotto) Cordone. She was raised and educated in Weymouth. Julie lived in Abington for the past fifteen years, previously in Weymouth for most of her life.

Julie was employed as a day care teacher for many years.

She loved animals, especially her two cats, Davey and Meg. She was a longtime fan of the rock band, Foo Fighters. She enjoyed bonfires with her husband, Tim. Most of all, Julie was devoted to her daughters, actively supporting their activities and accomplishments.

Beloved wife for twelve years of Timothy D. Podell.

Devoted mother of Sarah Janus Kelleher and her husband John, Megan Prosper and her husband Christian, Michelle L. Choudhary and her husband Mayank.

Loving sister of Diane M. Cordone, Sandra J. Marini and her husband Robert, and the late Linda Morrison.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Visitation prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. At the request of the family, interment will take place privately.
