Marilyn A. (Doyle) Corbin-Ruzzano, age 75, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died suddenly, Monday, July 14, 2025 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn was born in Quincy, to the late Thomas M. and Aili I. (Walkama) Doyle. Raised and educated there, she was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1968. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the former Boston State College, Class of 1972, and later earned her Master’s in Education degree.
Marilyn was employed as a special education teacher at the middle school level in the Boston Public Schools for thirty-five years, working primarily at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. School. She had been retired for many years.
She cherished time spent at Newfound Lake and was a member of the Baker River Valley Snowmobile Club in Wentworth, N.H.
Most of all, she was devoted to her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Devoted mother of Amanda L. Corbin of Quincy and Frank A. Ruzzano III of Weymouth.
Loving grandmother of Jayden A. Treannie and Charles C. Eaton.
Dear sister of Susan M. Lynn of Quincy and her late husband Walter “Joe”, Steven J. Doyle and his wife Elise of Milton, and predeceased by Thomas J. Doyle and William M. Doyle.
Marilyn is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her niece, the late infant Allison I. Lynn.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Monday, July 21, from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow.
