Marilyn Page, age 72

Marilyn Page, age 72, of Newton, died peacefully, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the comfort of her home.

Marilyn was born in Boston. She lived in Newton for the past twenty-eight years, previously in Palmer for forty years. Marilyn lived in a group home in Newton with four other individuals who became a second family to her.

Marilyn enjoyed many things in her life such as gatherings with family and friends, going to her day program, church, music, singing, dancing, track, bowling, horseback riding, movies, puzzles, games, and any toy that was musical. Marilyn loved when her birthday came around – it made her feel so special. She loved getting her hair and nails done. She was very meticulous about how she looked. She loved to wear jewelry, especially watches, bracelets, and rings.

She loved her family, peers, caregivers, and the staff that took care of her at the group home and at her day program. Marilyn was loved by many. She was a loving, caring, and helpful person with an infectious laugh.

Marilyn’s journey was marked by love and the simple joys of life. She will always be our sunshine.

  • Marilyn will be missed by so many! She was a real character and has left a little break in our hearts. The house won’t be the same. To know her was to love her. My deepest sympathy to her family and to her Pathway to Possible family.
