Vrisidha (Papakostandini) Shosho, age 84

Vrisidha (Papakostandini) Shosho, age 84, of Braintree, died peacefully, Thursday, October 1, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Filip Shosho of Korca, Albania.

Born in Polena, Albania, to the late Theodhor and Olimbi (Gjergo) Papakostandini, Vrisidha was the dear sister of eight brothers and sisters. She was the devoted mother of Spiro and his wife Brunilda of Braintree, Viktora Plasari and her husband Gjergji, and Andronika Bixho and her husband Gjergji, all of Quincy. She was the proud “nëna” of Olgert and Egi Plasari, Emila Bradford and Filip Shosho, and Ida and Maria Bixho. For the past two years, Vrisidha was the cherished great-grandmother of William and Eliana Bradford and Isabella Shosho. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Vrisidha’s life in Albania was one of dedication to her family. She was an incredibly hard worker both professionally and as a homemaker, and was an exemplary host who loved to cook traditional Albanian dishes for her family and friends. Since immigrating to the United States in 1996, she devoted her life to her grandchildren and her religion. The valuable lessons she imparted on her family will be carried forward for many decades to come, and the unconditional love she shared will never be forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Monday, October 5, from 4-6 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral Services and Interment will take place privately due to current events. Services are operating in accordance with current guidelines.
