Richard H. Meloski, age 74, of Quincy, formerly of Milton and Roslindale, died peacefully, Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, in the comfort of his loving family.

Richard was born in Boston, to the late Ethel (Garrett) and William Meloski, Sr. Raised and educated in Hyde Park, he was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. He lived in Quincy for seventeen years, previously in Milton for ten years, and earlier in Roslindale.

He was employed as a waterproofer for the Chapman Waterproofing Company, formerly of Dorchester, and was a longtime member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Union Local 3.

Richard enjoyed gardening and was a Boston sports fan.

Most of all, he was devoted to his family. He loved spending time with them and proudly supported all their many accomplishments.

Beloved husband for fifty-two years of Christine M. (Abbott) Meloski.

Devoted father of Richard G. Meloski and his wife Ann Marie of Quincy.

One of four siblings, Richard was the dear brother of MaryAnn Andrews of Abington, William Meloski, Jr. of Hyde Park, and the late Claire Kisker.

Richard is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
