Tony Y. Wong, age 71

Tony Y. Wong, age 71, of Randolph, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Monday, November 10, 2025 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his loving family.

Tony was born and raised in Hong Kong, China. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Hong Kong Chinese University in 1979. Following his graduation from college, he served as a Mathematics teacher at the middle school level.

In 1984, Tony immigrated to the United States, settling in Quincy. He earned his Master’s degree in Mathematics from Northeastern University in 1986. After earning his postgraduate degree, he worked as a computer programmer in the insurance industry for many years.

Following his retirement in 2023, Tony worked as a waiter and bartender at various establishments on the South Shore.

Tony had a passion for music and enjoyed playing instruments, including the saxophone and flute. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and playing Xiangqi, Chinese chess.

Beloved son of the late Koung Luen Wong and Sau King (Leung) Wong.

Devoted brother of Kam Yun Lee and her late husband Hon Chung Lee, Joseph Yim-Chiu Wong, and Cristo Y. Wong and his wife Suk Yung Wong, all of Quincy.

Loving uncle of Sammy Lee and his wife Nicole of Long Island, N.Y., Johnny Lee and his wife Sophia of Newton, Norris M. Wong, and Norton W. Wong, both of Quincy.

Cherished great uncle of Jason Lee, Cayden Lee, and Isabella Lee.

At the request of the family, funeral services are private.
