Linda M. Mulligan, age 71

Linda M. (Ross) Mulligan, age 71, of Braintree, died peacefully, Sunday, December 14, 2025 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born in Quincy, to the late Ruth (Koski) and John Ross. Raised in Quincy, she was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1972. She lived in Braintree for forty-six years.

She was employed as a secretary in the guidance counselor’s office for Braintree Public Schools. During her over twenty-year career, Linda worked in various capacities, making many friendships.

Linda was an avid Boston sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She enjoyed reading and loved the beach and ocean. She relished beach days at Nantasket Beach and trips to Wells Beach in Maine with family and friends.

She loved animals and especially her pet pug, Lily. Most of all, Linda was devoted to her family, and her cherished grandchildren, supporting all their many activities and accomplishments.

Beloved wife for forty-seven years of Joseph E. Mulligan.

Devoted mother of Beth A. Cusack and her husband Brian, Kerri A. Conti and her husband Frank, all of Plymouth.

Loving grandmother of Katelyn and Claire Cusack and Frankie Conti.

Dear sister of Cheryl Ross of Randolph, her late sister-in-law Jean Geary and cousin Carolyn Andersen of Mashpee.

Sister-in-law of Maureen Penta and her husband Charles of Jupiter, Fla., Patricia Mulligan Flaherty and her husband Brian of Norwell, Kevin Mulligan of Quincy, Anne Mulligan Mahoney and her husband Kevin of Quincy, and the late Helen A. Mulligan.

Linda is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her special Elmlawn Road family.

Memorial Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Tuesday, December 23, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Visitation prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m.
