Thomas F. Glennon, Jr., age 87, of Lakewood Ranch, Fla., formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the Elan Manatee Assisted Living Center in Bradenton, Fla.

Thomas was born in Boston, to the late Mary (Heavey) and Thomas F. Glennon, Sr. He was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Boston Trade School. He lived in Florida for over fifteen years, previously in Quincy for forty years.

He was employed as a machine operator for the Gillette Shaving Company in South Boston for twenty-eight years, retiring in 2001.

Tom was a proud veteran, having served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Veterans Memorial American Legion Post 347 in Lady Lake, Fla.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed traveling, dancing, bowling, art, and drawing.

Husband of Mary Ann (DeSantes) Glennon and the late Anna C. (Marinelli) Glennon.

Father of Kellie Ann Glennon of Quincy, Todd J. Glennon and his wife Kristyn of North Easton.

Grandfather of Jared T. Roche, Justyn P. Glennon, and Alexandra C. Glennon.

Brother of Jean Marie Pitts of Milford and uncle of Jennifer (Pitts) Hey of Warwick, R.I.

Memorial Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Friday, March 13, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Visitation prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Inurnment, with military honors, at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
