Domenic J. Silvestro, age 86, of West Bridgewater, formerly a longtime resident of Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Milton, surrounded by his loving family.

Domenic was born in Boston, to the late Domenico and Carmela (Rositi) Silvestro. Raised and educated in Boston and Brighton, he was a graduate of Brighton High School, Class of 1956. He lived in Quincy for over fifty years.

Dom was the well-known co-owner and operator, with his wife, Cheryll, of Domenic the Union Caterer, Inc. of Quincy for over thirty-five years.

Domenic was active as a “drum corps dad” and bus driver for the Sir Thomas More Drum and Bugle Corps for many years, where he made many friendships.

He was devoted to his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren and of recently becoming a great grandfather.

Beloved husband for sixty years of Cheryll J. (Correllus) Silvestro.

Devoted father of Michelle A. Frank and her husband Douglas of Hanover, Dawn Marie Hanaphy of West Bridgewater, and Domenic J. “Nick” Silvestro III of Maine.

Loving grandfather of Felicia, Veronica, Declan “Jake”, and Rocco. Great grandfather of Hudson and Aspen.

Domenic was the last of eight siblings, and is survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Tuesday, March 31, from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that you consider making a donation to your local food pantry. As many of you know, Domenic took great joy in feeding others and would never want to see anyone be hungry.
