Quincy – Mary Ann DiMattio, age 79, of Quincy, died peacefully at home on Monday, April 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary Ann was born in Quincy, to the late Martha R. (Bissanti) and Stephen E. DiMattio. She was raised and educated in Quincy and graduated from Fontbonne Academy, Class of 1964. She then earned her Nursing Degree from the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston. She lived in Quincy Point for most of her life.
Mary Ann was employed as a licensed practical nurse and worked at various facilities, including the former Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth for twenty years.
She enjoyed working in her yard, shopping, and hanging out with her family and friends.
Mary Ann was the devoted mother of Richard S. Berg of Quincy, and Kelley E. Brow and her husband Andrew of Abington. Loving grandmother of Sophia and Chloe Brow.
Dear sister of Thomas DiMattio of Quincy and the late Nibley “Stephen” DiMattio of Bonita Springs, Fla.
Mary Ann was the former wife of Joseph F. O’Connor, and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Friday, May 1, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Visitation prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m.
