Stephen E. Buckley, age 65, of Whitman, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his loving family.

Stephen was born in Boston, raised and educated in Quincy. He was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1979. He lived in Whitman for the past forty years.

Stephen was employed as a process controller for Interactive Data Corporation in Boxborough for over thirty years and retired in 2019.

Stephen volunteered in the Whitman Little League for many years, serving as a coach, umpire, and president of the league. He was also an avid golfer, enjoyed following the Boston sports teams, and spending time with his Golden Retrievers, Maggie and Max.

Devoted father of Stephen J. Buckley, Ryan E. Buckley and his wife Helena.

Beloved son of Marguerite A. (Divers) Buckley and the late Ralph J. Buckley, Q.F.D., Ret.

Loving fiancé of Susan D. Miranda.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Thursday, November 12, from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Joseph’s Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy, on Friday, November 13, at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow.
