Angela Itri, age 66

Angela (Keefe) Itri, a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted friend whose warmth and laughter filled every room, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the age of 66, surrounded by her loving family. A longtime resident of Braintree and formerly of South Boston, Angela’s kindness, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Born in Boston to the late Mary R. (Ardagna) and W. Paul Keefe, Angela was raised and educated in South Boston. She was a graduate of Our Lady of the Presentation Academy and went on to receive a certificate from Burdett Business School in Boston.

Angela was employed as a financial researcher for State Street Corporation for many years and took great pride in her work. She was admired for her dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail, and formed many lifelong friendships throughout her career.

Angela was a welcoming person who was always up for a visitor. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, grand dogs, and family. She enjoyed watching and discussing the stock market, dancing to The Who, and cheering on Boston sports teams—especially the Boston Bruins.

She will be remembered for her kind spirit, quick wit, and generosity. Angela had an incredible gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. She cherished the lifelong friendships she built in South Boston and Braintree, and her door was always open to friends old and new. Her bright smile and genuine warmth made every moment in her presence special.

Most of all, Angela was devoted to her family. She found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother and took immense pride in the family she built and nurtured.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas Itri. Devoted mother of Adrienne Sheehan and her husband Michael, and Leigh Small and her husband Charlie. Loving Nana of Thomas, Siena, and Michael Jr. Dear sister of Paul Keefe and his wife Karen. Angela is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Thursday, November 13, from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Sacred Heart Church, 72 Washington Street, Weymouth, on Friday, November 14, at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela’s memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington, DC 20090-1891 or www.nationalmssociety.org.
