Barbara J. (Paylor) Palingo, age 94, a former longtime resident of Braintree, died peacefully, Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Bay Path Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Duxbury, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born in Boston, to the late William and Susan (Pooler) Paylor. She was raised and educated in Dorchester. She lived in Braintree for most of her life.

Barbara assisted her late husband, Dom, in the operation of his business, the former Dom Palingo Oil Company in Braintree.

Barbara was a homemaker who was devoted to her family, actively supporting their many activities and accomplishments. She cherished time spent with them and cooking for them.

Beloved wife of the late Domenick Palingo.

Devoted mother of Linda S. O’Keefe of Plymouth and her late husband Paul, Cheryl A. Weinberg and her husband Richard of Florida, Nancy J. Hogan and her husband Stephen of Sagamore Beach, Anne-Marie Connolly and her husband Gerald, Sgt., Q.P.D., Ret. of Marshfield, and the late Barbara Jean Palingo.

Loving grandmother of Kim, Sean, and Jeffrey O’Keefe; Justin and Adam Weinberg; Ryan and Stephanie Hogan, Ashley Wells; Samantha McDonald, Meghan and Matthew Connolly.

Cherished great grandmother of twelve and great-great grandmother of one.

Barbara was the last of eight siblings and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Tuesday, September 16, at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Saint Michael Cemetery, 500 Canterbury Street, Boston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
