Dorothy E. (Veno) Caruso, age 88, a longtime resident of Braintree, died peacefully, Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Alliance Health at Marina Bay, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born in Quincy, to the late David E. and Jessie Ross (MacLeod) Veno. Raised and educated in Quincy, she was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1956. She lived in Braintree for fifty-nine years, the last three years in Quincy.

Dorothy was a homemaker who was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson.

Beloved wife of the late Paul E. Caruso.

Devoted mother of Paul E. Caruso, Jr., JoAnn Finnerty and her husband Richard, and Nicole Smolak and her husband Joe, all of Braintree.

Loving grandmother of John P. Finnerty, Marissa Finnerty, and the late Patrik L. Finnerty.

Cherished great grandmother of Luke Finnerty.

Dorothy was the last of nine siblings and is survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

In accordance with Dorothy’s wishes, services were private. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
