Linda M. (Cammarata) Antoniou, age 75, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on November 30, 2025, after a long and valiant journey with metastatic breast cancer.
Linda was born in Boston, to the late Ada M. (Prosperi) and Joseph A. Cammarata. Raised and educated in Quincy, she was a graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1968. Later she moved to Braintree where she and her late husband raised their family and lived for over forty-five years.
Linda was employed as an administrative clerk for the former Boston Edison Company directly out of high school in 1968, working in the credit and collections department. She retired in 1980 to focus on raising her beloved daughter, after twelve years of service creating lifelong friendships.
Linda loved to travel and enjoyed many family trips and vacations to Disney World, Florida, Hilton Head Island, and Aruba. She loved the ocean and spending time at the beach including in Falmouth at her summer home. She was also an avid reader who from a very young age found joy in always having a book in her hand.
Her greatest passion was her family with whom she relished spending time with. Linda was especially devoted to her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters, supporting all their many activities and accomplishments
Beloved wife of the late Anthony A. “Tony” Antoniou, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Devoted Mother of Gina (Antoniou) Whitelaw and her husband Christopher of Braintree. Dear Nonni to her cherished granddaughters, Sophia and Marina, who filled her with joy.
Linda is survived by many much-loved cousins, including Susan Vickery of Hanson and Christine Inman of Connecticut. She was the sister-in-law of Charles Antoniou and his wife Yvette of Walpole and the late John Antoniou. Aunt of Taryn Antoniou, her husband Zach and their son Luca of Connecticut, Mark Antoniou of Walpole and dear friend of their mother Lynda Antoniou of Walpole. She will be dearly missed by many special friends who have stood by her throughout her journey through life.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree, on Friday, December 5, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation prior to the Mass at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
Linda’s family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Irene Kuter, NP Mary McNeice and the entire oncology team at Mass. General Hospital for their steadfast 31-year dedication to Linda’s care and cancer treatment. Recognition also to Beacon Hospice of Plymouth, for their wonderful care and compassion.
