Mafalda M. “Muffie” (DiFederico) Ventresca, age 95, of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, died peacefully, Monday, October 21, 2024 at the John Scott House in Braintree, in the comfort of her loving family.

Mafalda was born in Malden, to the late Gabriel and Pierina (DelGizzi) DiFederico. She was raised and educated in Boston’s North End and Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School, Class of 1945.

She lived in Quincy for twenty-five years, previously in Braintree for twenty-five years.

Muffie was employed as an assistant manager for the former Bank of New England for twenty-three years, retiring in 1990.

She was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed supporting the activities and accomplishments of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beloved wife for seventy-two years of the late John Ventresca.

Devoted mother of Michael J. Ventresca and his wife Madaline of Braintree, Maryann Rowsell and her late husband William of Arlington.

Loving grandmother of Kellie Perniola and her husband Dominic of Norwell, Christine Ventresca of Braintree, William Rowsell and his wife Stephanie of Wilmington, and Vanessa Rowsell of Arlington.

Cherished great grandmother of Dominic, Olivia, Nicholas, Joseph, Mason, William, and Adriana.

She was the dear sister of Alfred DiFederico of Braintree and his late wife Mary and was predeceased by Yolanda Salvucci and her late husband Charles.

Muffie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Visiting Hours will be held at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Route 37), Braintree, on Sunday, October 27, from 2 – 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, October 28, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
