Andrew P. Wasil, age 39

Andrew P. Wasil, age 39, a lifelong resident of Braintree, died peacefully, Friday, June 19, 2026 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness.

Andrew was born in Quincy, raised in Braintree, and was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 2005. He later attended Massasoit Community College.

He was employed as a grocery manager for the Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, working the last several years in the North Quincy location. Andrew began his career with Stop & Shop in 2002 at the Braintree store, and worked in several market locations, including Quincy, Plymouth, and Norwell.

Andrew loved connecting and spending time with his loyal friends, frequenting breweries, local restaurants, watching and celebrating events such as NFL games, UFC matches, the Triple Crown, and all Boston sports teams.

He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, and had memorable trips to many destinations, including Mexico, Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Most recently, Andrew journeyed to India to serve as best man at his brother Stephen’s wedding.

Most of all, Andrew relished family events, spending time with and being “Uncle Andy” to his cherished nieces and nephew.

Beloved son of Suzanne E. (Fulton) and Paul J. Wasil.

Devoted brother of Erica J. Vinton and her husband Justin of Abington, Michael J. Wasil and his wife Kelly of Brockton, and Stephen J. Wasil and his wife Amita of Quincy.

Loving “Uncle Andy” of Olivia, James, and Chloe.

Andrew is also survived by many dear aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Friday, June 26, from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Saturday, June 27, at 10 a.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
