Ann M. (Connell) Spadorcia, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Ann was the beloved wife of Alfred A. Spadorcia of Plymouth, devoted mother to her three children, Michael A. Spadorcia of Plymouth, Ellen M. Spadorcia of Plymouth, and Catherine M. Karatzas of Belmont, mother-in-law to Nicholas Karatzas and cherished Nana to Elektra and Zoe. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ann was a devoted “mom” to many furry friends as well, including most recently her toy poodles Sophie and Pearl. (Sophie passed in 2022, but Pearl passed just ten days before Ann.)

Born in Quincy on May 20, 1947, Ann was the loving daughter of the late William A. and Doris E. Connell, and sister to Ellen Marchetta (deceased), William Connell (deceased) and Richard Connell.

Ann grew up in Quincy, but she spent her summers at Long Beach in Plymouth and her most treasured memories were of her times having adventures by the ocean. Ann was the first female barber in Quincy, but she retired in 1972 to become a full-time mother to her children. She absolutely loved being a mom and was happy to provide a home where all of her kids could have their friends over growing up.

Ann knew the value of good friends and was grateful for the support of hers (the 4 J’s + 1B) over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 Knoll Road, Plymouth, on Saturday, September 26, from 1 – 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
