Brian E. Snow, Quincy Fire Department, age 47, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died unexpectedly, Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Brian was born in Boston, raised and educated in Quincy. He was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1997. He later earned a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degrees in Fire Executive Leadership and Emergency Services Management.

Brian was proud to be a member of the Quincy Fire Department. He was appointed to the department on September 27, 2019 and was assigned to Engine 2 in North Quincy. Prior to that, he served as a firefighter for the Hull Fire Department for thirteen years. He was also a paramedic and EMT instructor.

Brian was a member of Quincy Firefighters Association Local 792 and the Quincy Lodge of Elks.

He was a loyal Boston sports fan and an avid sports memorabilia collector.

Most of all, he was devoted to his family, especially to his cherished son, LB, as he affectionately called him.

Beloved husband of Amanda Shaw.

Devoted father of Brian E. Snow, Jr.

Loving son of Janet C. (Meade) Snow of Brockton and Edward J. Snow of Quincy.

Dear brother of Lisa M. Snow and her husband Benjamin White of Brockton.

Much-loved uncle of Chloe June.

Brian is also survived by his uncle, Roger Meade of Quincy, as well as many cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Sunday, August 9, from 2 – 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Monday, August 10, at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow.
