Carol A. Doody, age 88, of Hanover, formerly of Hingham, died peacefully, Monday, April 13, 2026 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born and raised in Cambridge, and graduated from East Boston High School.

She lived in Hanover for the past twelve years, previously in Hingham for many years.

Carol was employed as a secretary at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital and had been retired for many years.

She enjoyed participating in activities at the Hanover Senior Center.

Carol was talented at knitting and enjoyed tending to her plants. She loved animals, especially her cat, Pennie.

Beloved daughter of the late James and Julia (Poston) Doody.

Devoted sister of Helen L. Wagner of Hanson and her late husband John, Louis Doody and his wife Dolly of Hawaii, and predeceased by Marie Carbone, David Doody and his late wife Joanne, and John Doody and his surviving wife Donna of Marshfield.

Carol is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and their families.
