Dr. Thoma Topalli, age 90

Dr. Thoma Topalli, age 90, of Quincy, died peacefully, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, surrounded by his loving family.

Thoma was born in Pogradec, Albania, to the late Aleksandra (Lako) and Naum Topalli. He was raised and educated there. He immigrated with his family to the United States in 2000, settling in Quincy.

Thoma graduated from medical school in Germany and practiced medicine for nearly fifty years, working as a well-respected gynecologist in Albania.

Thoma had a passion for music and singing. He cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Beloved husband for fifty-nine years of Natasha (Grabocka) Topalli.

Devoted father of Leka Topalli, Valer Topalli and his wife Viola, and Edi Topalli, all of Quincy.

Loving grandfather of Alexa and Kristen Topalli, Tomas and Vinsen Topalli.

Thoma was the last of four siblings and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Wednesday, July 15, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation prior to the service from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy. A reception will follow at Leo’s, 589 Granite Street, Braintree.
