of Quincy
Earl R. Robichaud, age 93, a longtime resident of Quincy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Earl was born in Chelsea to the late Constance E. (Dominic) and Albert J. Robichaud. He was raised and educated in Woburn and Quincy.
He spent most of his life in Quincy’s Houghs Neck, a community he deeply loved. Earl treasured the many friendships he built with neighbors and friends throughout the years.
Earl proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Navy Occupation Medal with European Clasp and the National Defense Service Medal in recognition of his service.
He was a dedicated member of Local 40 Carpenters Union, Cambridge and also worked as a lobsterman and clamdigger throughout his life. He had been retired for many years.
An avid outdoorsman, Earl had a passion for boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping in Maine. He also enjoyed flying and was a former member of Cranland Airport in Hanson. Most recently, at the age of 92, Earl had the honor of co-piloting a Cessna 172.
Earl was the beloved husband of the late Lily M. (Finson) Robichaud.
He was the devoted father of Donna M. Krezeczowski and her husband Alan of Brandon, Fla.; Stephen R. Robichaud and his partner Carol Maguire of Hull; Valerie A. McColgan of Holiday Fla.; and the late Wayne A. Robichaud and Jeanette L. Chretien.
He was the loving Papa of David Bragg, Eric McColgan, Michael McColgan, Mason McColgan, Stephen Robichaud, Jr., Felicia Robichaud, and Kristine Spano, and the cherished great-grandfather (Papa- Earl) of Cody, Connor, Xavier, and Wrenley.
Earl was the brother of Valerie A. R. Hayes, the late Louise M. Fahlbusch, and the late Barbara L. Caldwell.
He was also the dear companion of Donna Sullivan.
Memorial Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Friday, May 29, at 11 a.m., with military honors to follow. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Visitation prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m.
