Ellie, as she was known, was born and raised in Tuam, County Galway, Ireland. She immigrated to the United States in her early 20s. She settled in Roslindale and lived across the street from her sister Rose and her family. It was there that she raised her son Michael surrounded by his cousins and many neighborhood friends.

Ellie moved to Quincy from Roslindale and lived there for the past forty-five years. She enjoyed her home and delighted in living in the same building as her sister Rose and her brother-in-law Bob Kelly. She loved her family time, especially holidays, and regular visits from her niece Charlene and nephews Bobby and Mark.

Ellie enjoyed playing tennis and golf and reading. She liked to bake and visit with friends. Ellie always had a kind word and smile on her face. Later in life when Ellie was not playing golf or tennis, she was always watching the matches on TV! Ellie thoroughly enjoyed her time at the Kelly family home in West Tisbury, Martha’s Vineyard.
