Ellen (McInerney) Coleman, age 91, of Quincy, died peacefully, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Alliance Health at Marina Bay, surrounded by her loving family.

Ellen was born in Colemanswell, County Limerick, Ireland, to the late Ellen (Kelly) and David McInerney. Raised and educated in Ireland, she immigrated to the United States in 1990, arriving in Quincy, where she lived for thirty-five years.

She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her seven cherished grandchildren.

Ellen also enjoyed reading, the beach and return trips to Ireland to visit family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Edward Coleman.

Devoted mother of Anthony G. Coleman of Quincy, Mary Murphy and her husband David of Ireland, Nora T. Allen and her husband Thomas of Quincy, Bernadette A. Fin and her husband Jeffrey of Quincy.

Loving grandmother of Amy Murphy, Tommy and Michael Allen, Erin, Shane, Ava and Ellie Fin.

Ellen was the last of eight siblings.

At Ellen’s request, funeral services were private.
