Glenn E. Moody, age 65, of Hanson, formerly of Rockland and Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, in the comfort of his friends and family, after a brief illness.

Glenn was born in Quincy and grew up in Houghs Neck. He lived in Hanson for the past fifteen years, previously in Rockland.

Glenn was proud to have served in the Army National Guard.

He was skilled with his hands and worked as a mechanic and carpenter throughout his career. A jack of all trades, he could fix anything.

Glenn was active in various military organizations. He was a life member and past commander of American Legion Post 380, the sergeant at arms of the 101st Infantry Veterans Association, and a member of the Yankee Division Veterans Association. He had a lifelong interest in military history.

Son of the late Jacqueline A. (Olson) and George E. Moody, Jr.

Brother of Susan L. Moody, Robert M. Moody, and predeceased by George E. Moody III, Paul L. Moody, and Kim A. Leonard.

Glenn is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lifelong friend of the Stappen family.

Graveside Services, with military honors, will be conducted at Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, on Friday, August 28, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
