James J. Holloway, age 42, of Braintree, died suddenly, Saturday, July 13, 2024.

James was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Braintree. He attended Blue Hills Regional Technical School.

Jim worked as a carpenter in the construction industry.

He was an avid motorcycle and car enthusiast, and was especially fond of muscle cars. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was a talented artistic drawer.

Most of all, Jim was devoted to his son and loved his family.

Devoted father of Brendan J. Holloway of Quincy.

Beloved son of Linda A. (Caruso) Kennedy and her husband Keith of Braintree, and James C. Holloway of Braintree.

Dear brother of Alan Florinda of Wareham, Dylan Holloway of N.J., and Tyler Holloway and his wife Emily of Pembroke.

Cherished grandson of Ann M. (Ehlers) Caruso of Vt. and the late C. John “Sonny” Caruso.

Jim is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.

At the request of the family, funeral services took place privately.
