Jean E. (Keniley) Dougherty, age 68, of Quincy, died suddenly, Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Jean was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph B. and Pearl E. (Anderson) Keniley. She was born and raised in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1976.

Jean built a life in New Jersey and Connecticut and a career in reinsurance before returning to Quincy. Throughout her life, Jean was known for her kindness, her incredible sense of humor, a true jokester at heart, and her infectious smile that greeted everyone she met, strangers and all, with such warmth. She was an amazing cook and an avid animal lover, raising many dogs and cats, leaving behind her precious cat, Delilah.

Jean was the devoted mother of Eric M. Dougherty and his wife Ryann of New York, twins Bryan J. Dougherty of California and Keith P. Dougherty of New York.

Dear sister of Doris M. Keniley, Joseph A. Keniley, both of Quincy, and Nancy L. Hallisey of Rockland and her late husband David.

Jean is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
