Linda G. Horion, age 85

Linda Gail (Pearson) Horion, age 85, passed into eternal life on Thursday, July 23, 2026 surrounded by her family until the end.

Linda was the daughter of the late Edith (Cooper) and Wilbert Pearson of Quincy.

Devoted mother to Lisa Dilworth and her husband James, Therese (Terri) Horion and her longtime companion John Overlan, Aimee Tyler and her husband Sean, and Caroline (Bonnie) McKellar and her wife Sammie.

Proud Memere to Brian and Erin Dilworth, Eryk and Gretah DiOrio and Madison Converse. Doubly proud Great Memere to Neo and Novalie Dilworth.

She was the longtime partner of the late Robert Aborn of Milton. They shared many wonderful years together.

Linda was raised in Quincy and lived there most of her life. She was a graduate of Quincy High School.

Linda spent many years working as a paraprofessional in the Quincy Public School system. In this cherished role, she was able to combine her love of art and working with children into a career that brought her tremendous joy.

In her later years, she worked as a service representative in the Radiology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where her cheerful welcome helped make a difficult day just a bit easier for many patients.

Linda enjoyed spending time at the ocean. Whether this was at her beloved cottage at White Horse Beach, her annual trip to Aruba, a drive to the Scituate Lighthouse or lunch on the Plymouth waterfront, she was her happiest when the ocean was in view.

She had a tremendous passion for art. She shared this with her children from a very young age. Her belief that no child was too young to appreciate a trip to a museum, an afternoon playing hooky from school to see the Boston Pops or a trip to see the Boston Ballet from the nosebleed seats, instilled a lifelong love of the arts in all forms in her children. Her passion for art was rivalled only by her love of reading. She was an avid reader, whose weekly visits to her local library were often the highlight of her week.

At Linda’s request, services will be private.
