Lois M. Martell, age 80

Lois M. (Furbish) Martell, age 80, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, surrounded by her loving family.

Lois was born in Quincy, to the late Frances L. (Woodward) and Delbert W. Furbish. She was raised and educated there.

Lois was talented at ceramics, knitting, crocheting, and painting. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed taking care of her and the family’s dogs. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, and supporting the many activities and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

Beloved wife for sixty-four years of Alfred W. “Sparky” Martell.

Devoted mother of George J. Martell and his wife Margo, Tracey L. Albanese and her husband James, Alfred W. Martell, Jr. and his wife Lydia, and Cindy J. Sherick and her husband Larry.

Loving grandmother of Matthew, Samantha, Joseph, Brandon, Jessica, Austin, and Dominic.

Cherished great grandmother of Colby.

Dear sister of William Furbish and his wife Sue, Norma Gautreau and her husband Bob, Lawrence Furbish and his wife Donna, and the late Sandra J. Mattie.

Lois is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

At the request of the family, services are private.
