Marcia M. (MacKinnon) O’Connell, age 79, a lifelong Quincy resident, died peacefully, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, surrounded by her loving family.
Marcia was born in Quincy, to the late Robert E. and Mary L. (Eagles) MacKinnon. Raised and educated there, she was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1964.
Marcia was a devoted homemaker and was dedicated to her family. Her greatest joy came from being a nurturing mother and grandmother. She cherished time spent with them, always supporting their many activities and accomplishments.
Beloved wife for sixty years of Peter F. O’Connell.
Devoted mother of Thomas P. O’Connell and his wife Susan, Robert P. O’Connell and his wife Jacqueline Rae, Laurie A. Graf and her husband Paul, and Jill S. Nordin and her husband Erik.
Loving grandmother of ten.
At the request of the family, services were private.
