Marilyn G. Tausevich, age 80

Marilyn G. (Pecoraro) Tausevich, age 80, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died peacefully, Saturday, November 9, 2024 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Marilyn was born in Quincy, where she was raised and educated. She was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1962, and later attended Quincy Junior College.

She was employed as a grant coordinator for the Retina Eye Research Institute at Mass Eye and Ear in Boston for twenty years.

Marilyn was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and was a longtime member of the Quincy Art Association, where she made many friendships.

She was a lifelong parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church in West Quincy.

Marilyn loved to cook, was an avid reader, and had a deep affection for her pet dogs, especially her Labradoodle, Bella. She also enjoyed going to White Horse Beach in Plymouth.

Most all, she was devoted to her husband, Ron, her siblings, and her nieces and nephews.

Beloved wife for fifty-nine years of Ronald G. Tausevich.

Cherished daughter of the late Francis H. “Fran” and Mary W. “Dolly” (Cavicchi) Pecoraro.

Devoted sister of Marcia A. Schlager and her husband James, and Thomas F. Pecoraro, all of Quincy.

Loving aunt of James F. Schlager and his wife Deborah of Quincy, Thomas J. Schlager and his wife Domenica of Wellesley, Thomas F. Pecoraro, Jr., and Taylor M. Baggett and her husband Liam, all of Quincy, and great aunt of Brielle, Nevaeh, Dean, Marcie, and Delia.

Marilyn is also survived many extended family members and dear friends.

Visiting hours will be held at Saint Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent Street, West Quincy, on Wednesday, November 13, from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Parish in Saint Mary’s Church on Thursday, November 14, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
