Mary A. (Goldie) Wirtz, age 76, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Hancock Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Quincy, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in Boston, to the late Alexander and Marie (Kunz) Goldie. Raised in Houghs Neck, she was a graduate of Quincy High School. She lived in Weymouth for forty years, previously in Quincy.
Mary was a homemaker who devoted herself to her daughters.
Beloved wife of the late Robert E. Wirtz.
Devoted mother of Erica Wirtz and her partner Charlie Murphy, and Maria A. Wirtz, all of Weymouth.
Loving grandmother of Bryan Balonis and Emily Wirtz.
Dear sister of James “Jimmy” Goldie and his wife Nancy of Plymouth, Marilyn O’Brien of Florida, Elizabeth “Betty” Goldie of Florida, Robert “Bobby” Goldie and his wife Arlene of Raynham, and Eileen Goldie of Florida.
Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
