Michael was a dedicated union construction laborer and a proud member of Laborers Local 223 for more than sixty years, where he served as a Steward, General Foreman, and member of the Executive Board.

Nothing made him happier than a house full of family, cooking and simply being together. He was an avid Boston sports fan but also enjoyed Gaelic Football when it came to his native Galway. Throughout his life, he held a deep love for his Irish heritage, proudly passing it on to his children and grandchildren.

Dear brother of Paraic Mulkerrin and his wife Bernadette of Winthrop, Seamus Mulkerrin and his wife Sheila of Millis, and predeceased by Colm Mulkerrin, Nora Mulkerrin, Johnny Mulkerrin and his late wife Valerie, and Kieran Mulkerrin and his late wife Sarah.

Michael is also survived by his beloved sisters-in-law, Bridie Jennings, Babie Mulkerrins and Maggie Sweeney as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Thursday, April 16, from 4 – 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Friday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 LaGrange Street, West Roxbury.
