Norman Thomas, Jr., age 57

Norman Thomas, Jr., age 57, of Hanson, formerly of Brockton, died, Friday, May 19, 2023 at home, after a long illness.

Norman was born in Fall River, raised and educated in Brockton. He was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton, Class of 1983. He lived in Hanson for four years, previously in Brockton for most of his life.

He was employed as a licensed electrician.

Norm loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, fly tying, and hunting.

Beloved son of Norman and Barbara L. (Salters) Thomas of Plymouth.

Devoted brother of Natalie Coneys and her husband James of Quincy, Nancy Akalin, PhD. and her husband Murat Akalin, M.D. of Calif., Dolores Thomas of Nev., and Marie Lindahl and her husband Brandon of Conn.

Loving uncle of Karina Hagler of Nev. and Michael T. Coneys of Quincy.

Norm is also survived by many cousins.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Agatha Parish, 432 Adams Street, Milton, on Wednesday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Inurnment to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

For those who wish, donations in Norman’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
