We are sorry to announce the passing of Normand Louis Magnan on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the age of 72 in Milton, Mass. after a long illness.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Liza Fine Magnan of Quincy, Mass.; his son Jonathan Magnan of Framingham, Mass.; and his daughter Jackie Magnan and partner Wayne Pitman of Hope, R.I.
Normand is also survived by his sister Rosamond Durocher, spouse of the late Robert Durocher of Ocala, Fla.; brother Ray Magnan and spouse Sheila Burns Magnan of Winthrop, Mass.; sister Jeanne Larder and husband Robert Larder of Woonsocket, R.I.; sister Elizabeth Mainella and husband Lou Mainella of Cranston, R.I.; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Normand was born in Woonsocket, R.I. on July 23, 1952. Attended Mount St. Charles Academy and Boston College where he met his future spouse Liza. His career was focused on software design and engineering at a number of prominent companies in Massachusetts.
Normand is remembered for his sense of humor, compassion, and love of family. He was an avid reader of science fiction when young, and an enthusiastic bridge player later in life.
