Ryan R. O’Malley, age 25, a lifelong resident of Braintree, died unexpectedly, Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the comfort of his home.

Ryan was born in Boston, raised and educated in Braintree, and was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 2016.

He was currently a student at Boston University, working toward a computer science degree. Ryan was also working at the South Shore YMCA in Quincy this past year.

Ryan was a movie enthusiast and enjoyed music.

Beloved son of James J. and Lynn Cronin O’Malley of Braintree.

Devoted brother of Conor J. O’Malley of Braintree.

Loving grandson of Raymond and Joyce Cronin of Liverpool, England, and the late Denis and Nora O’Malley.

Much-loved nephew of Peter Cronin and his wife Jackie, Brian Cronin and his wife Susan, all of Liverpool, England, Catherine Cashman and her husband Kieran, Margaret Turnbull and her husband Derek, all of Ireland.

Ryan is also survived by many dear cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Parish in Saint Mary’s Church, 95 Crescent Street, West Quincy on Monday, February 19, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. At the request of the family, visiting hours have been omitted and interment will take place privately.
