Teresa M. Contrino, age 96, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, June 26, 2025 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Teresa was born, raised, and educated in Quincy.

As a young woman, she began her career working as a seamstress for many years. Later, she was employed as a machine operator at the former Sigma Instruments of Braintree for twenty years and retired in 1994.

Teresa was an avid Red Sox fan. Most importantly, she was devoted to her family.

Beloved daughter of the late Rosario and Carmela (Parello) Contrino.

Teresa was the last of five siblings and was predeceased by James, Frances, Joseph, and Luigi Contrino.

Loving aunt of Joseph P. Contrino of Braintree, Joanne C. Contrino of Quincy, the late James V. “Junior” Contrino, and the late Russell R. Contrino, Captain, Quincy Fire Department, Retired and his surviving wife Geraldine of Weymouth.

Teresa is also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, and their families.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Monday, June 30, from 4 – 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 1, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy.
